Legal: Affiliate Disclosure And Privacy
The short version: some links on this site earn a commission from the platform they point to, you pay the same listing price either way, and nobody can pay to be featured. This is also a static site with no accounts, forms or newsletters, and the only measurement is aggregate visit data you can switch off with any normal tracking protection.
How This Site Earns Money
Napavalleycawine.tours compares fourteen Napa Valley wine tours and sends you to the platform that sells them. Seven of those tours are listed on GetYourGuide and seven on Viator. When you book after clicking a link from this site, the platform pays this site a commission out of its own margin. Your price is the listing price. Nothing is added to cover the commission, and the site never handles the money itself.
The site does not operate tours and is not affiliated with any tour operator, winery or tourism body. It is a comparison site, full stop. There is no shop, no checkout and no booking system anywhere on these pages.
Which Links Pay Us
Every button and in-text link that opens a tour listing points to GetYourGuide or Viator and carries this site's partner tag. Beyond the tours, two smaller arrangements work the same way.
- Some of the guides name a real place to stay and include a "Check rates" link to that hotel on Expedia, reached through Travelpayouts.
- A couple of articles link an extra Napa experience, such as an e-bike winery ride or a downtown food-and-wine tasting, on Viator.
All of these pay only if you actually book. The commission comes out of the platform's margin and never changes what you see on the listing page.
What We Do Not Earn From
Plenty of a Napa day pays this site nothing, and several of those options are the better call for many visitors.
- Self-driving the valley with a sober driver in your party. Tasting rooms take visitors whether or not you ever book a tour.
- Tasting fees paid at the door. These run roughly $20 to $90 per person at most wineries and are often waived with a bottle purchase. That money goes to the winery.
- Restaurant lunches and any table you book yourself.
- Rental cars.
Where self-driving is the sensible answer, the guides say so. The only thing this site can earn on is a guided tour with the driving handled, and the comparisons are written for readers who want exactly that.
What Never Changes
Inclusion is not for sale. No operator can buy a position, and none has been offered one. A tour appears on the site because it is a real, currently bookable Napa Valley wine day, not because of what it pays.
There is no display advertising, no sponsored posts and no paid reviews. Ordering within a page reflects the strength of each listing, and you can check the ratings and review counts printed on the cards yourself. A listing with no star rating yet sits in the same lineup as one carrying thousands of reviews.
Ratings, Reviews And Prices
Ratings and review counts shown on this site are the platform's own published figures, read off the live listing. Ratings across the fourteen tours run from 4.3 to 4.9, and review counts run from 69 up to 4,631. One private listing has no star rating yet, and the card says so rather than inventing a figure.
Prices move with date, option and group size, so the live listing is the authority. Seven of the fourteen tours show a confirmed from-price: $110, $148, $151, $264, $278 and $288 per person, and $599 per group. The other seven show "See current price" on their cards, because quoting a number the listing does not confirm would be a guess. Open the listing for the real figure.
If You Would Rather Not Use Our Links
You do not have to. Search the tour on GetYourGuide or Viator directly, or go to the operator's own website. You will see the same listing and the same price either way. The commission only exists if you click through from here, and the site works fine as a plain reference if you never click a single link.
Questions about any of this can go to the contact page, which is a simple mailto link. The FAQ covers common booking questions, and about explains how the site works.
What This Site Collects
This is a static site. There are no accounts, no logins, no comments and no forms, so there is very little to collect in the first place.
Google Analytics 4, once switched on, records aggregate visits: which pages were viewed, roughly where the visit came from, what kind of device, and which listing links were clicked. That last measurement is the one that matters, because it shows whether a comparison actually helped someone choose between a full-day tour and a shorter one, or between a big-group coach day and a small-group vehicle. It says nothing about who you are.
No names, no email addresses and no payment details are stored, because the site never asks for them and has nothing to charge anyone for.
Cookies And Embedded Content
Google Analytics sets its own cookies once it runs. When you click through to a listing, the booking platform sets its own cookie so the booking can be credited back to this site. That cookie belongs to the platform and falls under its privacy policy, not this one.
Embedded maps or videos load from their providers when a page renders, and those providers may set their own cookies under their own policies. The same principle applies to any operator site you reach from here: once you leave, you are on somebody else's terms.
What We Do Not Do
- Sell or share data with anyone.
- Run ad networks, retargeting pixels or third-party ad cookies.
- Collect or store email addresses. There is no newsletter and no account.
- Take payments, hold a place on a tour or handle a booking. Everything financial happens on the platform's or operator's own page, on their systems.
- Host a contact form. The contact page is a plain mailto link, so an email travels through your own mail provider and nowhere else.
Hosting And Your Choices
The site is served by Cloudflare, which keeps standard server logs including IP addresses for security and abuse prevention. Those logs are not queried to identify visitors.
Browser tracking protection, an ad blocker or a Do Not Track setting will each stop the analytics script, and nothing breaks when they do. Every page works with JavaScript disabled apart from the mobile menu. In short: no tracking is required to read anything here, and the site asks for nothing except the click you choose to make.
